Ten Good Ways To Dress When You Are Pregnant
If you do not know how to dress when you are pregnant, this article may give you some help.
When women find out they’re having a baby, one of the first things they want to do is proudly display it in maternity clothing. However, maternity clothes can be expensive. Here are 10 ways to dress when you find out you are pregnant that will help you save money without being uncomfortable in this important time.
The first tip is to avoid rushing out right away and buying your entire maternity wardrobe. Some clothes will end up being too big and then will be too small later on. Try to make the clothes you have now last as long as possible. Consider a belly band that can be bought at a maternity store and allows you to keep wearing your same pair of jeans for quite some time. A second tip is to consider buying transitional clothes in plus sizes, that will be comfortable and often just as fashionable as maternity clothing.
A third tip for dressing during pregnancy is to shop thrifty, from a second hand store. You can find really good clothing that is in great shape and even looks expensive, at a fraction of the cost. Because maternity clothes are often only necessary for the last trimester of pregnancy, a fourth tip might mean that you borrow clothes from friends. Friends often get pregnant around the same time and they won’t be using theirs once their own child is born. Ask family and friends for what they have left over. Read the rest of this entry » -

Do you want to be a fashion designer?(2)
In the last blog, I share with you some of the suggestions on becoming a fashion designer. Besides choosing a suitable field that is both your favorite and the one you are good at. Then you must take some necessary courses to learn more. Take part in a school which can provide you the best courses and more chances for you to expand your creativity. Here are some tips for you.
Step Three Which kind of school will be suitable for you?
Most fashion programs are three to four years long. During that time you will take fine arts classes and study drawing, color composition and form. You will also learn pattern making, draping and cutting techniques. One of the most important advantages of design schools is that they work really closely with the industry. Parsons, for example, have “designer critic projects” where successful designers like Donna Karan and Michael Kors work directly with the graduating students. Ambitious students also have the chance to win prestigious awards and grants, which bring them a lot of attention as well as financial support. One very important event is the fashion show at the end of the last semester, when graduating students show their collections. A lot of important people from the fashion industry attend these shows to scout new talent. It’s also an opportunity to be really outrageous and get noticed by the media. Hussein Chalayan, for example, became instantly infamous when he showed rotting clothes that he had buried in his backyard for his graduation show at Saint Martins.

What Makes a Fashion Designer Succeed?
A fashion designer is a great creator of stylish new garment and the manager of the whole process of making fashion clothing and brining them to the public. Their job is not always romantic, even it is very hard and tiresome. Let’s see how the fashion designer does their job.
There is no doubt that the task of the fashion designer begins with creating the basic design. Fashion design initially begins in several ways. Some designers create storyboards with sketches of new ideas. Others prefer to work with a sewing dummy and begin to use various pieces of cloth to come up with a new design. During this phase of the creative process, the fashion designer is translating the vision that he or she has seen in the mind’s eye, and giving it some sort of outward expression. Often, the initial design is refined as the designer comes up with the first basic prototype. Read the rest of this entry »
