Now I’m 35 and married. “Later” has arrived—and I’m still solidly, intractably ambivalent. My husband, also undecided, looks to me for guidance and motivation. I figured the issue would somehow resolve itself: Like Alyson Hannigan’s character on How I Met Your Mother, I’d grab my husband one day and half sexily, half scarily demand that he “put a baby in me!” Or, after many heartfelt, wine-soaked conversations, we’d decide we were too selfish/broke/inept to have children of our own, and toast to a future of aunt- and unclehood. Instead, now that I’ve entered the five-year period when fertility experts strongly urge women to get busy, the indecision is agonizing.

Usually, in most people’s mind, birkenstocks is a symbol of sandals and slippers, which is famous for its feature of comfort. Now, the Birkenstock has engaged into High Heel shoes field. The new generation of stylish Birkenstocks is arriving!

As a devoted Birkenstock fan, I think it is time to proclaim that BIRKENSTOCK is creeping into high fashion! Slowly, and arch supported, but surely! Starting with designer Stella McCartney and her Birkenstock inspired high heels, seen here, flirted with the idea of what we would see if BIRKENSTOCK hit the runways of Paris or Milan. More recently, designer Jil Saunders created the Birkenstock inspired Tiffany.

Ok admittedly the original Birkenstocks aren’t that pretty, but at least they’re super-comfy and we could at least agree that the Birks get some special anti-style eco trendy that making them stylish kinda aura.

Not your regular old comfy $70 Birkenstock sandal by any means, though they do have a Birkenstock-esque buckled strap and the signature comfortable cork sole. But these high end Birkenstocks feature a 5″ stiletto heel and as mentioned before, a very large price tag.

So, what do you think? Love ‘em, Hate ‘em? If you had an extra $600 laying around, would you consider buying these high heel Birkenstocks?

Jimmy Choo Re-Launches Men’s Footwear Line

The luxury shoe brand, which stopped making men’s shoes in 2002, has had a change of heart apparently due to the success of its Jimmy Choo for H&M collection. According to Jimmy Choo CEO Joshua Schulman, the collaboration showed them that the brand was bigger than the business today and that they noticed a demand in the men’s categories too.

Famed footwear designer Jimmy Choo will re-launch its men’s footwear line with new shoes slated for Fall/Winter 2011. The new collection — the first since Jimmy Choo dropped their men’s footwear line nine years ago — will feature “dress shoes, moccasins, casual biker boots, sneakers and evening slippers,” according to the LA Times Blog.

The success of Jimmy Choo’s recent collaboration with H&M is credited with the revitalization of the footwear line. The 2009 Jimmy Choo Collection for H&M featured shoes for men.

Jimmy Choo plans to relaunch it luxury men’s shoe line in time for Fall/Winter 2011.

The new men’s footwear collection — to be produced in Italy — will be presented at Milan Fashion Week, which will be held from January 15-18, 2011 for men’s fashion collections. After its Fashion Week debut, the collection will initially be offered in 30 stores specializing in men’s fashion, as well as on the shoe designer’s website.
