Be A Flower Princess This Valentine’s Day: How to Style Florals
Since Valentine’s Day 2012 is coming closer and closer, there are more recommendations about how and what to wear this Valentine’s Day, including this one. Valentine’s Day is almost in spring; and spring is the best season for flowers. Thus, we cannot miss the floral prints. Then, how to style florals? Take a look at the following tips.
Floral cardigan
Wear a floral print cardigan to work over your usual black dress or blouse with some black pants instead of a blazer.
Floral print dresses
It’s a complete look and you don’t have to worry about accessorizing – the dress is an accessory on its own.
Floral tights
If you are not ready to throw on a lot of flowers with a floral dress, start slowly with some floral print tights. Wear them with a pencil skirt and a pretty blouse.
Floral shoes
They are a bold statement and a great choice if you want to stand out in a crowd. Now, there is a difference between floral print shoes – there are the flats (picture below) and regular floral shoes (picture above). While the flats can be worn by anyone and look great, to me, the regular shoes with a floral print, demand a distinct personal style to pull off.
Floral accessories
They are also a good way of incorporating florals into your wardrobe. Especially floral print bangles are a good way to show off the floral trend! A floral scarf is also a great choice.
Now, are you ready to be a flower princess and stand on front of your special him? I believe you are.

Valentine’s Day 2012 Style: Be Blair Waldorf
We all know that Blair Waldorf is a character played by Leighton Meester in Gossip Girl. Her lady style is sophisticated, elegant, modern, sexy and appreciated by many women or men. However, not all of us are like her who lives the Upper East Side; but we can inspired by her charming and attractive style. The following are some tips you may consider about.
Winter coats
Choose a coat in an unconventional shape and color if you want to resemble Blair. She often sports the school girl style and the middle coat is perfect for that.
Dresses
Blair’s dresses are colorful, fitted, short and feminine. She wears sexy dresses, but always leaves something to the imagination. Her style is characterized by the amount of detail in the clothing items, which these dresses also posses.
Cardigans
Cardigans have always been very ladylike. They’re good if you need to be a bit warmer, hide your arms or cover up your cleavage a little. All in all, cardigans are a great way to either dress up or dress down an outfit. If you’re going for Blair’s ultra feminine style, choose shorter cardigans with long or 3/4 sleeves with some detailing like on the picture.
Blouses
Blair’s silky, beautiful blouses are very different. They’re far from boring and full of details. Ruffles, bows, prints, unusual collars, buttons, belts and so on make them very Blair. Choose soft and feminine materials like silk and chiffon to get the feminine look.
Shoes
A pair of classical Mary Janes is a must have in your wardrobe if you want to achieve the Blair Waldorf style. These shoes have been around for many, many years and they never go out of style. As I said earlier, Blair is not afraid of color, so the color of the shoe is all up to your imagination.
Head bands
Blair is definitely not afraid of wearing headbands in all colors, shapes and sizes and they do make her outfits very girly and fantastic.
Well, having the style of Blair Waldorf does not have to spend a whole bunch of money. Just be inspired by her collocation tips!

Flower applications give shoes an air of true romance. These spectacular, head-turning high heels (inspired with the ones as seen in Marc Jacobs Spring 2012) bring a distinctively beautiful accent to women’s accessories. Manifesto for conscious women who wake up and think: “Thank God, I’m a woman!”
Mesh sandals
AKA sheer booties are getting more and more popular by Oscar de la Renta’s affair. Covered sandals (other nickname) are pleased to help without giving up comfort every time your pedicure artist has a day off. Versatile and practical, their mesh-panels provide just enough ventilation.
Clear shoes
Jump on the jelly trend as seen in Richard Nicoll’s spring 2012 fashion show. Clear PVC captures the sunlight making your style intentions perfectly clear. The bold and vibrant see-through design feels as light as air and makes it your best runway-inspired find of the season.

Do’s and Don’ts of Over-the-knee Boots Wearing
As we all know that, over-the-knee boots as just as hot as fire; and the winter is a perfect season for wearing them. However, there are some tips when wearing them, so we can look more stunning. Check out these do’s and don’ts and conquer over-the-knee boots!
Do’s:
Do Wear Over-the-Knee Boots with Skinny Jeans
One of the easiest ways to wear over-the-knee boots are to pair them with skinny jeans or leggings like producer Cindy Cowan does here. The goal is to have a long, sleek line between the boots and leggings or skinny jeans.
Do Go Monochromatic for a Classy Over-the-Knee Boot Look
Jennifer Lopez rocks one of the best over-the-knee boot looks with these sexy thigh high suede boots. The high heel goes great with her short black dress (and this is funny, but the boots must be on loan because a close-up shot of the soles reveals tape to keep them from getting scuffed up.) J Lo adds a pop of contrast to the monochromatic look with a cool fringed brown leather bag.
Do Show a Sliver of Leg with Over-the-Knee Boots
A flash of skin works great with the over-the-knee boots, giving it a sophisticated, but still edgy look.
Do Wear Black Tights with Over-the-Knee Boots
What is one of the most fool-proof ways to wear over-the-knee boots? Pair them with a short dress and black tights.
Don’ts:
Don’t Go Too Short with Over-the-Knee Boots
Although Jennifer Lopez has great legs, this dress/tunic paired with sheer fishnets is just too short for the over-the-knee boots and makes her legs look heavier than they really are.
Don’t Wear Just Anything with Over-the-Knee Boots
Sure, over-the-knee boots go with lots of looks. But pairing girly ruffles with thigh-high leather boots is just a bit too much. Stick with straight, simple shifts for dresses or sleek skinny jean/leggings looks for the best way to wear over-the-knee boots.
Don’t Wear Stretch Over-the-Knee Boots Unless You Have Spectacular Legs
Stretch tall boots can sometimes squeeze you in all the wrong places and give you sausage legs. So unless you have great legs, like Katie Price does here, skip the stretch over-the-knee boots.
Don’t Just Wear Black Over-the-Knee Boots
Although black is the predominant color for over-the-boots, other rich hues — like these caramel boots — look just as good and work as a neutral.

How to Make Your Legs Look Longer
Well, you are lucky, if you have long legs; but do not worry, if you don’t, because there are so many clothes out there for us to correct their figures. The following are tips about how to make your legs look longer. After reading them, you’ll surely being inspired.
Towering Heels
Heels are the first thing that comes to mind when we think of the long enviable legs. Heels can elongate your legs, make them look thinner and also make you taller. Be sure to avoid shoes with blunt tips. Rather opt for pointed shoes that make your legs nicely extend to the feet and not end them abruptly as in case with blunt shoes.
Towering heels can be extremely sexy but not very suitable for daily wear so think medium heel which is both functional and practical. It elongates the leg just as much as sky-high shoes do.
Skinny Jeans
Skinny jeans are great for petite women who can boast a thin frame but who need a few inches to add to their height and make their legs look longer. Skinny jeans create thin lines that are visually elongating your legs making them appear thinner.
High-Waist & Mini Length
Mini shorts with high-waist are a hit of the season and it’s no wonder because if you look closely you’ll see that they add a few inches to your legs especially if you wear them with heels. In order to balance out the figure as high-waist can cut the torso opt for long tees and blouses.
You can also get away with high-waist trousers as well as they will visually make your legs look longer than they actually are.
Hosiery
We’re talking about pantyhose and stockings here. Knee-high socks that are hidden under the clothes can also do the trick. Pantyhose make our legs look smoother and neater so you can use it to your advantage. Black opaque stockings and pantyhose make legs longer and slimmer. These look great with mini dresses and shorts. Pantyhose and heels are a great combination. Use it to make your legs long and enviable.
Colors and Prints
Monochrome color schemes are best when you want to appear thinner and taller. Vertical lines and details should also prevail in your outfits. Opt for pleats, crease and everything that makes a vertical line.
So, which tip do you plan to take and make your legs more attractive?

Winter Fashion Necessity – Oversized Sweaters
Since it is almost winter (or to say is winter in some places), sweater becomes an important and also fashionable top wearing. Sweaters, especially oversized, are always comfortable and cute at the same time and a fashion necessity during the colder months. They create a bohemian look that practically anyone can pull off and there are so many ways to style them.
Leggings and tights
Leggings and Tights are ideal for fall or winter weather and will look great with your oversize sweater, making it into a sweater dress. Opt for a dark color like black, brown or grey for a sophisticated, or edgy look, and for a bright color or cool pattern if you want a fun and exciting look. Leggings are as good of an option as tights.
Belt
When it comes to choosing a belt, both a wide and a thin belt would work perfectly with your oversize sweater. If you want to mark your curves and accentuate your waist, cinching your sweater with a belt is a quick and easy way to do it. If you’re going for a more casual hippie chic look, not wearing a belt is a different oversize sweater look that you might want to try out as well. While one look is more elegant and sophisticated, the other is more edgy and chic.
Shoes
Both leggings and tights can be worn with any shoe of your choice like platform boots, wedges, oxfords, or even some sneakers. This will slim your legs and thereby accentuate your figure. After you’ve chosen your outfit it’s time to accessorize. Take advantage of the color of your sweater and mix it up with colorful shoes, bags and jewelry.
When choosing a necklace, pick one that has a long chain with a locket or a stone to keep the ensemble simple, chic and cute. If you are more of an earrings type of girl, try it with some chandelier earrings or some colorful clip-ons. Attempt to roll your sleeves up a bit and wear lots of bangles or a cuff bracelet. A pretty cocktail ring will do the trick as well.
Bags
When it comes to handbags, this season is full of different, colorful choices. Go for a satchel for a trendy look, a duffle bag for a more bohemian look, or an oversized bowler purse for the chic elegant. Whichever you have a go with will look fantastic with your sweater. Give your huge collection of purses and jewelry a go.
Well, do you feel more easily to style these oversized sweaters now? Enjoy another “hot” winter!
